Indianapolis Colts Notes, Quotes 2008-09-27
--The nylon roof of the RCA Dome was deflated this week in preparation for the eventual demolition of the Colts' former home stadium. Current plans are for the stadium structure to be imploded in December. An addition to the Indiana Convention Center will be built in its place, with a completion date of 2010 on the schedule.

--Team president Bill Polian says that WR Marvin Harrison is playing well after coming back from last year's knee injury.

"There isn't a thing wrong with Marvin. As far as I can tell, he is his old self. Has he lost maybe a quarter of a step because he's 36 years of age? Maybe, but I don't know that for sure. If it is, it's no more than a quarter. There is absolutely no reason to be concerned about him. If you saw how he played Sunday (against Jacksonville), why would you be?" Polian said this week.

"Absolutely no reason to worry about Marvin. Leave that to the media. We don't have any worries here in this building. We're happy to have him. With respect to the media, I've said all along they have a role to play, but it's with the fans not with us, the professionals."

--Indianapolis has yet to win a game in the team's new facility, Lucas Oil Stadium. Indianapolis dropped both of its preseason games to Buffalo and Cincinnati and has now lost to Chicago and Jacksonville in the regular season.

--Indianapolis has lost four straight home games dating back to the 2007 season, including a playoff loss to the San Diego Chargers. The last time that the Colts have lost four home games in a row was in 2001, when the team lost four straight at the RCA Dome before pulling off a 41-27 victory over the Atlanta Falcons.

--The last time the Colts lost more than four consecutive home games was in 1997, when Indianapolis dropped its first six at the RCA Dome before rebounding for a 41-38 win over Green Bay.

--The most home losses registered by a Tony Dungy team in Indianapolis was three in both the 2002 and 2003 seasons (both 5-3). Dungy's team have gone 5-3, 5-3, 7-1, 7-1, 8-0 and 6-2 in home games.

--The Indianapolis Colts began their first season at the RCA Dome in 1984 with a 2-6 won-loss record.

--Through three games a year ago, the Colts had seven takeaways. The count this season is two. Opponents have returned that many Colts turnovers for touchdowns (a fumble and an interception). Indianapolis ranked second in takeaways last season with 37 and in turnover margin at plus-18.

--With five giveaways, the Indianapolis offense is a minus-3. Only the New York Jets (minus-4) and Detroit (minus-5) have poorer differentials.

--The last time that the Colts were 1-2 or worse after the first three games of the season was in 1998, when the team began the year with an 0-4 mark.

--DE Dwight Freeney has not recorded a double-digit sack season since 2005 (11). After averaging nearly 13 sacks in his first four years in the NFL, he had 5.5 sacks in 2007 and just 3.5 sacks during an injury-shortened 2007 season. Freeney has two sacks through the first three games this year.

BY THE NUMBERS: 12 -- Indianapolis has a 12-8 won-loss record after recording a loss under Dungy.

QUOTE TO NOTE: "We just have to be sharp and not have the errors. Little things can make a difference. We had some errors where we're just not exactly where we're supposed to be on certain things and we have to get that corrected." -- Colts coach Tony Dungy, talking about whether having so many first- and second-year players has had an effect on the team's record so far this season.
