The Colts don't expect to make any major roster moves on either side of the ball during the bye week.

The hope is that DT Daniel Muir, who was picked up by Indianapolis from Green Bay prior to the start of the regular season, will be available after the bye week. He has been bothered by a sore knee since joining the team.

Indianapolis did, however, add former University of Georgia quarterback David Greene and ex-Syracuse University wide receiver Taj Smith to the team's practice squad. Quarterback Josh Betts was released from the practice squad.

PLAYER NOTES

--OT Tony Ugoh (groin) returned to practice on Thursday. Ugoh missed the Jacksonville game after he was hurt in the team's win at Minnesota two weeks ago.

--C Jeff Saturday (knee) was held out of Thursday's workout. Saturday, though, is expected to be in the starting lineup against Houston next week.

--OG Daniel Federkeil (ribs) missed a second day of practice on Thursday. It's not known as of yet if Federkeil will be able to play against the Texans next week.

--TE Jacob Tamme (ankle) practiced Thursday after going through a light workout on Wednesday. Tamme has missed the last two games but may be available for the Oct. 5 road trip to Houston.

--OG Mike Pollak (knee) was able to get some practice time in Wednesday and Thursday. Pollak, the Colts' highest draft pick last spring, has yet to play in a regular-season game. It's hoped that he will be able to return for the team's game at Houston.

--C Jamey Richard was allowed to sit out Thursday's practice. Richard also was held out of Wednesday's workout. He will be available for the team's game at Houston on Oct. 5.

INJURY IMPACT:

--S Bob Sanders (ankle/knee) is not expected back in practice or able to play in a game for several weeks. There is no word on whether Sanders, who suffered a high right ankle sprain against Minnesota two weeks ago, has yet had arthroscopic "cleanup" surgery on his knee.

--LB Tyjuan Hagler (torn pectoral muscle) has been making good progress and might be available for the Colts' Oct. 19 road game at Green Bay. Hagler was hurt while lifting weights prior to the start of training camp in July. He is currently on the team's physically-unable-to-perform list.

--OG Ryan Lilja (knee) is also on the Colts' PUP list and hopes to be back the same time as LB Tyjuan Hagler. Lilja had surgery on his knee during the offseason but his return to practice has been delayed. He did not practice in training camp.

--WR Roy Hall (knee) may be available to resume practice after the bye. Hall initially suffered a strained hamstring but opted to also have arthroscopic "cleanup" surgery on his knee during his time away.
